SAFEcontractor is a government approved accreditation scheme that assesses the health & safety competency of contractors and service providers. To ensure we, as a member of the scheme, are adequately insured and that all relevant health & safety documentation is in order, we must undergo a comprehensive annual audit on our policies and safety procedures set out by the government’s health & safety regulations.

With this audit we must provide adequate insurance and verify that our work practices are up to date and fair. References are supplied to SAFEContractor that are followed up and thoroughly checked.

  • Health & Safety training
  • Method statements & work procedures
  • Emergency procedures
  • First Aid & accident reporting
  • Risk Assessments
  • Safe use of work equipment
  • Manual handling
  • Hazardous materials handling (i.e.: asbestos awareness etc)
  • Work at Heights Regulations company policy
  • Work equipment testing & maintenance
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Subcontracting company policy
  • Management of sub contractors
